Welcome to the Toll Calculator.
Your one-stop connection to transportation planning.
To ensure you are familiar with how the new Toll Calculator can be the most benefit to you, we have a
step-by-step example to assist you. The Next and Previous buttons will take you through the example.

FUNCTION BUTTONS
Before getting started, please note that several buttons are available to you when using the Toll Calculator tool.

  • Reset:
    Allows you to start over with your calculations.

  • Help / Info:
    Provides you with additional assistance when using the Toll Calculator.

  • Contacts:
    Provides you with a list of possible contact options at TC Energy when using the Toll Calculator.

  • Report:
    Once all calculations are complete, this button allows you to print the data in an easy-to-use pdf file format.

  • Feedback:
    Allows you to provide us with feedback, suggestions and questions you may have for us in regards to the Toll Calculator.
GETTING STARTED
The Toll Calculator provides you with the ability to quickly view the total cost for the path you’ve selected on all of TC Energy's pipelines.

Begin by choosing from four options:

  • From point:
    Source.

  • To point:
    Destination.

  • Service type:
    FT (Firm Transportation) or IT (Interruptible Transportation) can be selected.

  • Units/$:
    Gigajoules per Canadian dollar (GJ/CAD$) or Decatherms per U.S. dollar (Dth/US$) can be selected.

Note:
   allows you to recalculate tolls after changing and/or including information in and editable field.

CHOOSE YOUR ROUTE
Select the source (From point) and destination (To point) points on any of our Systems in North America. As you select your path, (which will highlight in yellow) the various pipeline tolls and related fuels cost will appear as tabs directly below the map. In this case, the route selected is NIT to North Bay Junction.

  • The Total tab will display information calculated for the selected path.

  • The selected path will be highlighted for at-a-glance reference.

TABS
Once you’ve identified a path, a series of tabs will appear below the map. These tabs allow you to customize certain data such as spot price and fuel percentage along each portion of your selected path. In this example, the tab shows costs from Empress to North Bay.

  • The Calculated Price is the NIT Spot Price plus the transport costs to Empress.

  • Edit the fuel % to your own specifications and click on the checkmark to recalculate tolls.

  • The Notes provide important information relevant to the specific portion of the selected path.
NETBACK PRICE / LANDED COST
This tab provides you with the ability to provide a netback price and landed cost using selected market data.

  • The Market Price fields allow you to enter in your selected Market Price. Be sure to click to recalculate.
REPORT
Click on Report button, and a report can be generated on the detailed toll information for the selected path. This pdf file format report can be saved, printed, or e-mailed.
