This is the calculated cost of fuel for the path or tab you have selected. The fuel rates are updated monthly. In each of the detailed tabs, the fuel rate is an editable field.
Exchange Rate:
The exchange rate will be updated as required, using the Bank of Canada rate. This is an editable field. However, should you wish to edit this field more than once, please reset your calculation to ensure accuracy.

Fixed Cost:
These are FT Demand charges and delivery pressures charge (where they apply).
From Point:
This is the selected source point where you would like to receive gas supply.
FT:
Firm Transportation. Please check the Service Descriptions link on Customer Express for more information.
FT Commodity:
Firm Transportation Commodity is the variable costs/charges associated with the path selected. These costs/charges only apply when gas flows.
FT Demand:
Firm Transportation Demand is the fixed costs/charges associated with the path selected. These costs/charges are also called reservation charges and apply regardless of whether the gas flows.
Fuel Percentage (%):
This is the amount of fuel required to move the gas through the pipeline.
This is the total cost of buying gas at the source point and transporting it to the destination point. The calculation is the spot price at the source point plus the total costs for the chosen path.

This is the dollar amount you receive by transporting to the chosen destination point. The calculation is the market price at the source point less the total costs for the chosen path.

Spot Price:
This is the market price at the selected source point. These prices are obtained from multiple sources and are primarily used to calculate the cost of fuel. This is an editable field and you can enter your own spot price.
This section allows you to select between Gigajoules per Canadian dollar (GJ/CAD$) and Decatherms per U.S. dollar (Dth/US$). The default for this section is GJ/CAD$.
